INVESTIGATON LEADS TO JUVENILE ARRESTS

On Friday, 7-29-11, at approximately 7:30am, officers of the Texarkana, Texas Police Department responded to a car dealership in the 4300 block of Mall Dr. in reference to a Burglary of a Building.  Upon initial investigation, it was determined that the service building had been burglarized, in addition to four vehicles being stolen.

The investigation was turned over to detectives and crime scene personnel.  Shortly into the investigation, one of the vehicles was recovered, abandoned, in the south part of town, close to Loop 151.  Moments later, two more vehicles were located on Terry St., just outside of the city limits.  As investigators continued their follow-up investigation, they were led to the 1500 block of N. Robison Rd. where they made contact with multiple juveniles who were believed to be responsible for these crimes.  During this time period, the fourth vehicle was located in the 1100 block of Dan Haskins Way.

At this time, two 16 year old black male juveniles and one 16 year old white male juvenile have been arrested and charged with four counts of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Burglary of a Building.  All charges are felonies in the State of Texas.  The juveniles have been transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

All of the vehicles have been recovered and this case is considered to be closed.
