Dr. Boyce: 5 Questions Dr. King Might Ask About His Memorial
Intentional? MLK Memorial Does Not Mention the Words “Racism” or “Black”
by Dr. Boyce Watkins, Your Black World
Not meaning to be picky or to challenge those who worked with corporations to fund theMemorial built in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, but I had to mention this. Someone sent me a message today stating that he’d been told during a meeting with the heads of the committee to build the memorial that race and racial inequality had been deliberately excluded from all of the quotes on the MLK Memorial. According to the witness who sent me the message, the individual who made the decision to leave out Dr. King’s quotes on race and racial inequality felt that for his children, race isn’t a factor and that he wanted the memorial to go beyond race.

Occupy Wall Street: Mass Economic Riots Are Now Here And America Will Never Be The Same | Pakalert Press
Is Occupy Wall Street going to represent a major turning point in U.S. history? Over the past several years, many people have been warning that we would see mass economic riots in the United States if the economy continued to get worse. Well, the economic riots are now here and America will never be the same. The Occupy Wall Streetprotests are starting their third week and now similar protests have sprung up in major cities all over the United States. An increasing number of Americans have totally lost faith in the system and are looking for an outlet for their frustrations. Occupy Wall Street is a spark that has started a fire, but most Americans do not understand where all of this is going. In the years ahead, millions more Americans will lose their jobs, millions more Americans will lose their homes toforeclosure and millions more Americans will find themselves drowning in debt. As the economy continues to decline, millions upon millions of Americans will become even more frustrated. In particular, young Americans are really starting to become angryabout the economy and our deeply corrupt financial system. Eventually we are going to see an explosion of anger and frustration on the streets of America that is going to be absolutely unprecedented. Occupy Wall Street is just the beginning. If most Americans could see what is coming next, it would chill them to their cores.

Thanks to the FDA, You Really Have No Idea What's In Your Food | | AlterNet
For years, polls have shown that about 90 percent of Americans support the labeling of foods that contain genetically modified organisms (GMO). That's about as close to a consensus as you're going to get in this country. But amazingly, in this supposed bastion of freedom and democracy we're denied the fundamental right to know what's in our food -- a right that more than 50 other nations, including China and Russia, offer their citizens.

State-Sanctioned Murder of U.S. Citizen Anwar al-Awlaki
Heit & Cheri discuss the recent murder of alleged Al Qaeda associate, Anwar al-Awlaki. Does anyone see something wrong with a country that openly orders the murder of its own citizen, thereby denying him the right all U.S. citizens have to due process? Will we hear you cry out against the the murder of Anwar al-Awlaki (who received no trial) with the same passion as you did Troy Davis, who was actually charged with and convicted of a crime?
